I was doing a bit of photoblog surfing the other night and I came across this site which is an alternative to photoblogs.org. It is called CoolPhotoblogs. Anyway what does is offer photobloggers a place to promote their site and work. Not sure how many photoblogs are on the list but it is sure to grow.

So that being said, I am trying to promote my site to get better search engine results and ultimately make photography my career so feel free to go over to my profile on Coolphotoblogs.com and mark it as “cool” :)

I get asked about the stats on this site periodically and since I have not posted them in a while here are some current stats for the last 30 days:

• Average daily unique visitors: 217
• Highest number of unique visitors in a day: 822
• Average daily page loads (hits): 741
• Highest number of page loads (hits) in a day: 2,813
• Total unique visitors in the last 30 days: 6,730
• Total page loads (hits) in the last 30 days: 22,981

I was talking with John Wilson from the Chattanoogan.com and he had a day last week when he got over 80,000 unique visitors IN ONE DAY! Maybe some day!

I have never posted photos here to win any awards or the ego boast that I get when you tell me that you like what I am doing. BUT I will say that the more people that come to this site, the more paid photo work I am getting. So this here comes the plea… If you like the photos you see here and are a regular visitor, go to the 2006 Photobloggies site and nominate me for whatever categories you see fit. May I suggest the “Best Kept Secret” or the “Best American Photoblog” categories for starts :)

I always find it funny the way spammers try to get around the spam protection on email and now blog comments. This is one that was worded to sound like the person was a real visitor but it had several links to “get cheap drugs” type of sites. It was funny so I am pasting in the comment here:
