9Aug09Toby and Beth – July 11, 2009

Hard to believe I am this far behind on blogging. I shot Beth and Toby’s reception almost a month ago and I am just getting some time to get caught up on photo work.

They got married the week before on the beach and had their celebration at Toby’s mom’s home in Cleveland. I was only there for the reception though :) It was a fun night of dancing and and unexpected swim at the end of the night thanks to the groomsmen! Most everybody in the bridal party ended up in the pool.

9Jul09Nathan and Jen – June 27, 2009

I had the great oppurtunity to shoot with Nellie from Nellie Photography again at the end of last month. We shot a wedding together last February in Chicago and I helped Alison shoot her sister’s wedding in Nashville where I met both Jen and Nathan as part of the bridal party a couple years back. Anyway, this time it was Nellie’s brother Nathan who was getting married and they did so in St. Louis.

I was with the guys at the hotel as they got ready and headed to the church. Beautiful Catholic church in St. Louis. We did some fun group shots in the hottest weather ever! Seriously I think it was about 110 degrees! The Reception was in the St. Louis Zoo in an indoor pavilion which was thankfully A/C! What a great day and couple of great families. Congratulations you two!

4Jun09Ross and Taylor – May 30, 2009

What a great day! Ross and Taylor got married at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church but our day started at my favorite salon… Hair a Go Go! Kristen Morten hooked Taylor up with her hair do.

The ladies then headed to a family friend’s house for a bridal lunch then to the church to finish getting ready. The guys showed up fully dressed and ready to roll :) The church was gorgeous as usual and Dr. Dudley did a great job.

Let the party begin. The reception was at the Double Tree downtown Chattanooga. What a party. The Standing Room Only Band kept the guests on their feet the whole night. Party went until 11:00 when the bride and groom were whisked away by a horse and carriage!

28May09Chuck and Donna – May 16, 2009

I had the great pleasure to celebrate with Chuck and Donna on their wedding day. Started out at Lulu’s in North Chattanooga, which was way cool. I had never been in before and I was pleasantly surprised. The rest of the day was spent at the Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. They have built a gorgeous new area for outdoor events. It was really a great location.

Anyway it was threatening rain all morning and just as the ceremony was in full swing, the sky opened up and it rained pretty heavy. It was kinda fun and I don’t think anyone minded. After all the party was moving inside anyway. The folks at the club put on a good spread and Sweet Georgia Sound kept the place full of great music.

Thanks for letting me be part of your wedding day guys!

16Mar09Andy and Evonne – March 7, 2009

I have sort of an idealistic view of wedding days. I always feel like they should be low in stress and high in joy. A true celebration if you will. I have obviously never been a bride and never planned a wedding ;) Evonne and Andy had the kind of day I think of when I think about weddings. They were both just filled with joy and love.

While Evonne was getting her hair done at Flirt which is a really cool place btw, Andy called and she lit up. When she hung up she said to her friends that were there with her “I am going to MARRY him!” It was fun to hear her so excited. Anyway thanks to Andy and Evonne for having me along for your celebration!
