I was photographing Roddy and Fiona in a field of barley overlooking one of the most beautiful valley’s I have seen when I realized I could shoot weddings in Scotland ANY TIME someone wanted me to :) Scotland was amazing and I would be more than happy to go back!

Roddy and I met about 4 years ago while he was in Chattanooga and have been internet friends ever since. I was pretty excited when he called me earlier this year to see if I was interested in shooting his wedding in Scotland. What a great opportunity. My answer was of course I will photograph your wedding… it would be my honor. So long story short after a bunch of planning and some talking on skype I was on an overnight flight from Atlanta to London.

The wedding was on a Thursday and my day started with Roddy and his guys for breakfast. Then I hung out with Fiona for a while before heading to the church. It was a beautiful old church in Dingwall. Then the reception was at an old victorian spa in Strathpeffer. Once the band got going I dont think there was anyone sitting down the rest of the night. I am also pretty sure that nobody had any energy left after dancing like they did the whole night! All in all it was a great wedding and awesome adventure! Thanks for giving me the oppurtunity Roddy and Fiona! I wish you all the best!

Adam and Emily – July 25, 2010

The day started at the Hunter shortly before Adam and Emily signed their kettubah (Jewish marriage contract). It was a fairly quick and intimate ceremony on the second floor terrace. Then they greeted their guests and prepared themselves for the wedding ceremony all while a Dor L’Dor (a fantastic Klezmer band) played in the background.

The reception was full of traditional Jewish dancing and fun. What a great day and a really fun couple. Make sure to admire that hand crafted chuppah that Emily’s dad designed and built. It was pretty spectacular. Thanks again for letting me be part of your wedding day guys!

Kenny and Katherine – May 29, 2010

I knew they would have a great wedding day after our engagement session back in November. Started at one of my very favorite salons, Hair a Go Go. Then the girls went to the church to finish their preparations. I caught up with Kenny at the church where in typical guy fashion was ready in minutes :) They had a very personal ceremony with Kenny’s grandfather officiating. Then it was off to Chester Frost Park Pavilion for the reception.

Thanks for letting me be part of your wedding guys. It was my honor.

Another great Chattanooga wedding at the beautiful Hunter Museum! Kelly and John we determined to have fun and make a great day even if it looked as if the skies were going to unleash their fury at any moment. If I am not mistaken it only rained a few drops all day. Just enough to qualify them for the legended good luck it is supposed to bring :)

Our day started at Kelly’s aunt and uncle’s house for a luncheon. It was beautiful out there and I could tell it was going to be a good day. Then to Hair a Go Go for hair and makeup. Kristen did a great job as usual. Then it was off to The Hunter Museum of Art for the rest of the day. The place looked great and everything went off without a hitch. Kelly had some of my favorite wedding vendors there too :) Congratulations guys and thanks for letting me be part.

Ryan and Erin – April 24, 2010

I was a little relieved when Ryan called me in the morning to tell me that they had rented a tent to have the wedding under since it was raining. What I had not planned on was that their venue was literally in the clouds on Lookout Mountain. There is a first for everything.

They had the ceremony in the backyard of their home in Lookout Mountain, TN. Which is across from the original venue… Point Park. The reception was at St John’s downtown Chattanooga. I had not been to St John’s before and I have to say it lived up to ALL of the good things I have heard about it over the years.

Congratulations guys. I am glad I could be there with you to celebrate!

I met John on Flickr several years ago maybe even before I was even a wedding photographer and we have been in contact ever since. I was so happy when he called to get some pricing from me. Then I got an email from Jodie about a date much sooner ;) I am glad it all worked out cause they are a great couple and their friends are just as great.

Their wedding and reception both took place at The Gallery in Red Bank, TN. Beautiful art gallery at the foot of Signal Mountain. All in all it was a great day and I am glad I was able to be part of it. Congratulations guys!

Bradley and Tiffany – February 27, 2010

I have known Tiffany for a LONG time… ok well not that long but in terms of my normal client relationship it has been a long time. Let’s just say Tiffany was really on the ball planning this wedding :) You can tell too. Everything was just how she wanted it and she did all of her planning so she could just sit back and enjoy her day.

Which started at Stone Fort Inn, in Chattanooga, where the brides got ready for the day. They also hosted a bridal breakfast there at the bed and breakfast. I love the atmosphere there and the staff is always so great! I hit up the Read House to catch up with the guys for a bit before heading over to the Saints Peter and Paul church for the ceremony.

Reception was at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club where the crew always puts out a great spread. The early afternoon reception time didn’t slow down the party at all! Congratulations and thanks for having me there guys!

Mary Beth and Jarreth – October 17, 2009

Etowah, TN… who knew. I got turned around more than once getting there and then again on my way home. Probably only an hour out of the way in total :) Oh well. All is well that ends well.

Mary Beth and Jarreth got married last weekend in Etowah. It was cold and cloudy but that didn’t matter to these two. They were as happy as could be. First Baptist Church of Etowah is huge and they had it packed out with family and friends. Rhon’s Distinctive Floral Designs did a great good with the decorations as usual.

The reception was at Tellico Yacht Club and it was great too. Cake by Magpies. Thanks Guys!

John and Melissa – September 26, 2009

From what I can tell these two have the best group of friends and family a couple could ask for. They were all just a pleasure to be around and work with.

My day started with Melissa, her sister and their grandmother at Salon LaBella. I arrived in a full downpour and left under sunny skies. Chattanooga weather can be so unpredictable. Then we all headed off to Lookout Lake Bed and Breakfast out in Lookout Valley for the rest of the day. John and the guys were already there when I got there. They were unloading the beverages for the reception. John works as a distributor so they had that angle covered pretty well. I dont think anyone went thirsty ;)

The wedding was held on covered patio upstairs due to the forecast for more heavy rains. Even though it didn’t rain anymore better to be safe than sorry :) Reception was both up and downstairs and was a lot of fun. Standing Room Only can put on a good party too!

Congratulations Paul and Lauren! Sorry it has been so long in getting these pics up for you guys.

Lauren and her bridesmaids, special friends and family started their day at the Mayor’s Mansion for a bridal luncheon. Breakfast, mimosa’s, and pull cake… good stuff :) Then it was off to Hair a Go Go for hair and makeup. Kristen hooked Lauren up with a great up do and Sarah did a great job on her makeup. Girls went back to the Mansion to get ready for the rest of their day.

2nd Pres downtown Chattanooga was the site of the ceremony. Then off to Fairyland Club for the reception. Great day and a great couple. Thanks for having me there guys!
