Beautiful setting. Beautiful people. Beautiful day!

Ken and Bethany got married at her family’s farm just south of Chattanooga in Flintstone, GA. It is an amazing farm with a working mill, several homes, hidden gardens, an organic fruits and vegetable garden and lots and lots of trees. The wedding ceremony was held in the entryway of the main home and the reception was under a tent in the front of the home.

Geof and Paige – May 21, 2011

It was an honor and a privilege to photography my brother’s wedding! I could use this space to make some embarrassing comments about him since I was not given the mic during the reception but I may just pass in favor of a few things I have grown to really appreciate about him. Geof knows I have a weakness for dates so he always reminds me of important dates (relatives birthdays etc.). He checks in every so often just to make sure things are still going ok. He always has an open door if I am in town (even if it is open to his tiny little one room apartment). And he always gets to tickled to introduce me as his “little” brother (I am only a foot and a half taller and 100lbs bigger than him). I don’t know Paige all that well but what I do know is that she makes Geof really happy and that cant be bad :)

Bill and Jill – May 7, 2011

Road trip to Racine, WI. I never thought I would say that :) I had a lot of fun though and I would totally do it again.

Jill and the girls started their morning at Profiles Salon where they all got their hair done. Then we went to the church for makeup and final prep. The fun really got rolling when I made the entire bridal party go rock climbing at the marina downtown. They were all troopers and I think we made it out without any injuries… speak now or forever hold your peace.

The church was packed out for these two. Lots of tears and emotion in that building as they said their vows :) The party rolled on at the Marriott until the wee hours of the morning. Some celebrations spilled out into the parking lot but I will not speak of that. All I will say is… gas cans Bill? Really? Truly guys it was such a pleasure to be there with you and I am so glad you trusted me to record it for you!

Brett and Alexa – September 25, 2010

Alexa and Brett actually got married in Scotland about a week after I came home from there earlier this fall. Crazy enough our paths could have even crossed while I was there :) Alas we didnt and I had to wait til their stateside reception to met them.

I started at Alexa’s parent’s house with Brett and Alexa getting ready together. Yes that is the first time that has happen for me. It was really cool having the bride and groom together to get ready. She helped him with his bow tie and he helped with her bow… sweet really. The actual reception was at the Lookout Mountain Golf and Country Club. Good food, good band, great night. I am glad I could help you guys remember the evening! Congratulations again!

Chris and Ashley – August 28, 2010

I have been lucky enough to shoot weddings all over this year! This is my first wedding of my own in Nashville and it was awesome. Great couple, big beautiful church, awesome reception location and Nashville is just a really cool town!

My day started with Ashley at the Green Pea Salon which was a converted gas station… I knew I was in a cool place when they were selling bacon chocolate bars! We did some pictures all around downtown Nashville including Printer’s Alley, The Hermitage Hotel and the Capitol Building. The wedding was at Downtown Presbyterian Church and the reception was at The Cannery Ballroom. All in all a wedding day I will not soon forget. Thanks for letting me be part!

Roddy and Fiona – August 12, 2010

I was photographing Roddy and Fiona in a field of barley overlooking one of the most beautiful valley’s I have seen when I realized I could shoot weddings in Scotland ANY TIME someone wanted me to :) Scotland was amazing and I would be more than happy to go back!

Roddy and I met about 4 years ago while he was in Chattanooga and have been internet friends ever since. I was pretty excited when he called me earlier this year to see if I was interested in shooting his wedding in Scotland. What a great opportunity. My answer was of course I will photograph your wedding… it would be my honor. So long story short after a bunch of planning and some talking on skype I was on an overnight flight from Atlanta to London.

The wedding was on a Thursday and my day started with Roddy and his guys for breakfast. Then I hung out with Fiona for a while before heading to the church. It was a beautiful old church in Dingwall. Then the reception was at an old victorian spa in Strathpeffer. Once the band got going I dont think there was anyone sitting down the rest of the night. I am also pretty sure that nobody had any energy left after dancing like they did the whole night! All in all it was a great wedding and awesome adventure! Thanks for giving me the oppurtunity Roddy and Fiona! I wish you all the best!

Adam and Emily – July 25, 2010

The day started at the Hunter shortly before Adam and Emily signed their kettubah (Jewish marriage contract). It was a fairly quick and intimate ceremony on the second floor terrace. Then they greeted their guests and prepared themselves for the wedding ceremony all while a Dor L’Dor (a fantastic Klezmer band) played in the background.

The reception was full of traditional Jewish dancing and fun. What a great day and a really fun couple. Make sure to admire that hand crafted chuppah that Emily’s dad designed and built. It was pretty spectacular. Thanks again for letting me be part of your wedding day guys!

I knew they would have a great wedding day after our engagement session back in November. Started at one of my very favorite salons, Hair a Go Go. Then the girls went to the church to finish their preparations. I caught up with Kenny at the church where in typical guy fashion was ready in minutes :) They had a very personal ceremony with Kenny’s grandfather officiating. Then it was off to Chester Frost Park Pavilion for the reception.

Another great Chattanooga wedding at the beautiful Hunter Museum! Kelly and John we determined to have fun and make a great day even if it looked as if the skies were going to unleash their fury at any moment. If I am not mistaken it only rained a few drops all day. Just enough to qualify them for the legended good luck it is supposed to bring :)

Our day started at Kelly’s aunt and uncle’s house for a luncheon. It was beautiful out there and I could tell it was going to be a good day. Then to Hair a Go Go for hair and makeup. Kristen did a great job as usual. Then it was off to The Hunter Museum of Art for the rest of the day. The place looked great and everything went off without a hitch. Kelly had some of my favorite wedding vendors there too :) Congratulations guys and thanks for letting me be part.

Ryan and Erin – April 24, 2010

I was a little relieved when Ryan called me in the morning to tell me that they had rented a tent to have the wedding under since it was raining. What I had not planned on was that their venue was literally in the clouds on Lookout Mountain. There is a first for everything.

They had the ceremony in the backyard of their home in Lookout Mountain, TN. Which is across from the original venue… Point Park. The reception was at St John’s downtown Chattanooga. I had not been to St John’s before and I have to say it lived up to ALL of the good things I have heard about it over the years.

Congratulations guys. I am glad I could be there with you to celebrate!
