Jeremy and Chelsea – Engagement Session

Jeremy was a groomsmen in John and Kelly’s wedding that I photographed last year. So I was honored that they called about wedding photography when they got engaged. It is always nice to work with friends and relatives of previous clients.

We shot their engagement session in Nashville last weekend. Started at MTSU in Floyd Stadium since they both love football and she went to school there. Then we met back up a little later at the Parthenon in Centennial Park. After that we walked around downtown on Broad Street and the walking bridge. I really do like Nashville a lot… thanks for having me up guys!

Bill and Jill – Engagement Session

I have known Jill for a while now. We went to the same college long ago. I didn’t know her from there so much as I knew her as my sister in law’s roommate. Our paths crossed here and there and we have even spent a couple holiday’s together as guests in the Bos home. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to talk to them about shooting their wedding this coming May in Racine, WI.

As it turns out, they were interested in shooting some engagement photos to be used as Christmas card photos so I flew up to LaCrosse, WI where she is a surgical resident and we did some engagement photos in the freshly fallen snow. It was really fun! We wandered around the riverfront and downtown area trying hard to act like it was not 14 degrees with 6 inches of snow on the ground. We even found a set of swings that we trudged across about a quarter mile of snow covered ground to get to! Thanks for the fun guys. I am looking forward to your wedding in May.

Chad and Emily – Engagement Session

This was a fun and interesting engagement session. Chad contacted me a couple months before this and asked about pricing and availability for doing some engagement photos and after a delayed response on my part I didn’t hear from him again. I figured I had lost the job do to the junk mail filter! Then I got a call from Emily… his fiancee. She asked about doing an engagement session on that coming Friday and we worked out the details and scheduled it.

Come to find out they were married the same day in the morning :) So this is officially my first engagement session/we did session that took place on the same day as the wedding! Congrats you two.

David and Lucretia – Engagement Session

I met Lucretia and David out at Walnut Hill Farm where they will be getting married in October. It was really beautiful. I think we hit just at the peak of fall colors too and the view out there was amazing. I am pretty excited about this wedding :)

Kenny and Katherine – Engagement Session

Seems as if I saved all the work for the past few weeks! I am glad that this engagement session was one of them though.

I met Kenny and Katherine out at the Chickamauga Battlefields in time for the best light of the day. We chased the sun around to a couple locations in the park all the while elbowing other photographers and their subjects for all the good natural props and backgrounds. Heheh. Thanks for roaming the park with me guys!

John and Kelly – Engagement Session

I am way behind on a lot of things so I will keep this one short… This was a session of firsts here are a couple.

First time for a couple to have a cut grass fight.
First time for a couple to TOTALLY wipe out while sledding on a chunk of cardboard.
First time a future bride has tracked dog dooty into my car ;)
Other than the dog stuff, we had a blast and I am looking forward to the wedding!

Chris and Ashley – Enagement Session

I love when couples have a story. These two have a great story of being acquaintances all their lives but not until much later reconnecting at none other than a gas station. It was a glance and a chat and that was all it took to put these two together for good.

I went up to Nashville to do this session because we just had to go to that hole in the wall out in the middle of nowhere gas station where it happen. We did some shots downtown Nashville before heading out to Dickson for the gas station.

After we got done with pictures we all went honky tonking downtown. Didn’t see any celebrities but it was loads of fun! Thanks for the opportunity guys and hopefully we can go again :)

Jerreth and Mary Beth – Engagement Session

Taylor and Ross – Engagement Session

This was the second time Taylor and Ross were in town for their engagement session… they got rained out the first time and nearly got rained out again on Sunday. I am glad it worked out! We had a good time wandering around Miller Plaza and Market Street here in Chattanooga.

I met these two out in Ooltewah for their engagement session on Sunday. We hit up some of their favorite spots around their neighborhood and a few surrounding neighborhoods chasing the sunlight :) I had lots of fun and I think they enjoyed themselves too. Oh by the way Jeremy was “Big Al” while in college at the University of Alabama… how cool is that? He did the Big Al walk for me too pretty funny stuff.
