This is my sweet little niece Avalene. Seemed like she had grown so much since the last time I saw her and it was only in August! She had just begun walking and now she is running around like it was nothing.

Last year Willem ignored her almost completely but we were pretty sure that Willem and her were going to be best buds this Christmas after he showed some interested right off the bat. Alas Avalene grew weary of his hugs and was scared of him most of the trip. That’s alright Avalene who wants hugs all the time anyway ;) I think she was scared of me by association too cause I could barely get a snuggle.

The Wilson Family

I used to work with Kerry and we always talk about getting together to do some family photography and somehow it has only worked out once in like 4 years since their first child was born. Finally got a session in this past fall. We met up at the Pumpkin Patch park on Signal Mountain and I followed them around while the kids played. Even Kerry’s sister got in on the action with her daughter. We had a good time and I think the kids were plenty worn out for their ride home.

I love this kid!

Let’s face it… I have loved this kid from the start. He stole my heart the moment I saw him :) His little personality has always been so fun and it just keeps getting better and better. He is always up for a game up peek-a-boo or come and catch me. I still love him even though he most loves to play these games when I am so tired I can hardly stay away at 6:30 AM :)

Anyway I took these a couple weeks ago when my mom was here and finally got them off the camera tonight and thought I would share them.

The Vanderleest Family

Erin’s cousin Shawna and her family are moving to TX from the east coast and made their way through Chattanooga at the end of the week. It has been a pleasure to have them and it was certainly a pleasure to go out and take some pictures for them today.

The boys LOVE love trains so the Chattanooga Choo Choo was an absolute MUST. We spent a lot of time wandering around with them and taking pictures with all the different trains here and there. I think they would have stayed there for the rest of the night if we let them. Then we went down to Coolidge Park and Clumpies to round out the night.

Whit Turns 1!

Got to celebrate Whit’s first birthday with him on Friday. Fun little guy who likes to pull himself up on the back of the couch and plop back down and laugh… but he is not so keen on the birthday cupcake quite yet :) He mostly just slung that around and didnt eat much if any of it. Boo Turns Two!

You may recognize a couple of the kids in this post and slideshow… they are actually on the back of my business cards. I did a family session for the Matthews about a year ago and got an email the night before their youngest son’s second birthday asking if I could come shoot it for them. I said yes of course.

It was a fun party up at the Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club. Complete with balloons, clowns and games! The kids seemed to have a great time and I think the adults even had a little fun too :)
