26Sep06One Man Show… of sorts

My work is being displayed at a local coffee shop and hangout! Greyfriars coffee shop downtown Chattanooga is having a rotating artist display in their shop this year and I am the second artist in the rotation. I will have my photos on display on the walls until the middle of November so make sure you go down and check them out if you are in or around the Chattanooga area.

Here are some photos of the display and one of me in the shop that my good friend Jason Connel took. Thanks for the great portrait Jason!

10Sep06Fisheye fun

I broke down and bought a fisheye lens over the weekend. It is the Canon 15mm f2.8 Fisheye. I am having a blast with it. You may have noticed there were a few shots from it in the slideshow from my LA trip but here are a couple more that I took today at the Chattanooga Market.

8Sep06More From Pictage PartnerCon

Today was the second and last day of Partner Con in LA. It started with a panel discussion on building and leveraging the photographic community. It was fun to see and hear how different photographers interpret “The Community” and contribute and how that helps their business.

I went to a session about having fun and being real with your clients during shoots. One about keeping your business simple and streamlined. Then I went to one on how to use associates to help build your business.

I had to miss my friends and fellow Chattanoogan’s, Amber and Nathan, give their talk. I did stop by to take a couple of photos for/of them. There are two below as well as one of a vendor booth.

7Sep06Pictage Partner Con

As some of you know and some of you are just finding out… I am in sunny LA for Pictage’s second annual Partner Conference. It is going well so far and I am meeting tons of people. Some of whom I have had some interaction with online and most of them new all together.

The seminars I have attended have definitely been helpful. There was one clearly the most beneficial to me though. It was given by Michael and Anna Costa of Michael Costa Photo. It was jammed packed with great tips on booking weddings! I am looking forward to putting some of this into action :) Here are a couple photos I took of them at the seminar.

17Aug06Update on the eBay Fraud

I have an update on the eBay Fraud I reported here earlier. I received a message from another eBayer saying they received a fake Sandisk card from the same seller. So I decided to contact the other users that purchased 4gb cards on the same auction that I did and just let them know I was ripped off and that they may want to look into it.

In addition to this I have escalated my dispute with this seller in PayPal to a claim so PayPal is now investigating this and will take proper action against this seller. Next step… Get eBay to suspend this seller. Oh by the way if you are reading this and want to know the seller’s eBay id it is fgulsen. Stay safe on eBay!
