It doesn’t seem like nearly a year ago since I took a trip up to see Abby for the first time when she was just a few days old. Checkout how cute she is!

I am embarrassed about how long ago I shot these pics and I am just now getting them done. Crazy time of year! Scott and Pam had us over for dinner about a month ago and I took a few pictures of the kids for them. So here we go :)

My car decided to die this morning… Erin was taking it to work today so that I could take her car to get the muffle inspected. I got a frantic call to come rescue. The little red devil decided to conk out right in the middle of the road about 1/4 mile from our house so I took Erin her car and then called a tow truck. After I dropped the car at John Ross Pure (the only place I trust), I waited for the bad news. Seems there is a problem with the timing belt that they are going to have to investigate. He suggested I get a ride cause it was going to be at least this afternoon before he would get it in for the repairs.

So I called all the usual victims for a ride and they were all away from their phones so I walked over to the nearest bus stop (about another 1/4 mile or so) and got on. It was an interesting ride :) Not as bad as I thought it would have been but it did take me an hour and a half to get here!

Things I learned on the city bus:

1. Those maps are really confusing, I think it is cause they are not drawn to scale.
2. Do the crime… do the time. (some recently incarcerated dudes were discussing their sentences.)
3. It may take a long time to get there, but you can get just about anywhere in town for $1.25 on the city bus.
4. The city bus fills the needs of transportation for more people than I used to think. When we got downtown on the first leg there was only a couple seats open in the whole bus.
5. It is way better to ride the bus than walk.

I was glad to have some help with this project because, I am not used to manual labor anymore! We got a bunch of shrubs to spruce up the front of our rather bland yard. Take a look.

My mom is in town for the weekend and since she and I like bluegrass music I decided to take her up to the Mountain Opry on Signal Mountain. If you have never been you must go. Here are a few pics from the night.
