16Apr07Dena and Daniel – April 14, 2007

I talked my good friend Jason Connel into letting me shoot this wedding with him on Saturday. The bride is the mother of one of Erin’s students last year… who was the cute little flower girl :) I am so glad I got to go. This was only the second wedding to be held at the Canyon Ridge Golf Course in Rising Fawn, GA. It couldn’t have been much more spectacular. Million dollar homes line the drive up to the pavilion where the ceremony was held right on the rocky overlook of a beautiful valley.

We totally lucked out on the weather. They were calling for strong thunder storms all afternoon and besides a few spurts of heavy rain and a couple strong gusts of wind, the day was really quite nice. A little overcast but that always makes for nice portrait lighting :) We ended up getting to do all the portraits and group shots outside with a little time to spare before the light rain started.

Thanks again Jason for letting me come and to Dena and Daniel for allowing me to share in their big day! Click HERE to see my slideshow.

8Apr07Busy Weekend

Well well this has been a busy weekend and Easter too! After getting home from Nashville on Friday we went to our friends Paul and Kristen’s house for pizza and a movie. We watched Life as a House… It was good. I remember wanting to see it when it came out but then never did. Got home late and slept in this morning.

Once I got up around 11:30 I went and got a haircut and had lunch at Zaxby’s. Then I came home and cut back some overgrown trees that I have been wanting to take care of for a long time. Thought I would take advantage of the abnormally cool weather and do it today. Here are a few pics before and after and one of my new friend Boogie.

7Apr07Nashville PUG

Once a month Pictage has holds what they call Pictage User Groups or PUGs to talk about what is happening in the company and to announce new products/services or just to network with other photographers. Every now and then they combine the Nashville and Chattanooga PUG meetings when there is something big happening. This month a Rep from Pictage came out to the PUGs to demo the new album designer. So Erin and I headed up to Nashville for the meeting and to stay the night.

The meeting was good. Erin actually stayed at the hotel during the meeting. Myrna from Pictage walked us through the creation of a new album and revisions of albums using Pictage’s Album Designer 3. Then after the meeting we all went The Cheesecake Factory for fun and food! Pretty sure that all the tables around us were annoyed at the amount of fun we were having cause we were pretty loud :) You can check out more of the fun on Alison Bynum’s blog where I stole the group shot abot from :)

Then Erin and I went back to the hotel and slept in in the morning and headed back to Chattanooga but not before I got a chance to run around the hotel taking pictures of stuff I had seen the night before when I went up to the room.
