Saturday was the Chattanooga Yahoo Photogroup outing. We have not really had one in months sine the attendance had dwindled to little of nothing in the past months but with the surge in new participants it looks like the outings are back on.

We met down by the pier and dodged rain drops together for a while. Robert and Jared were troopers in the rain and Jing showed up a little late with her friend Kun. It was fun but short. Here are a couple photos.

Saturday was quite the day! Woke up early to prepare for a bride meeting and then in the afternoon I went out to Vandergriff Park in Hixson to shoot the Young kids again. The kids were having a blast and I was enjoying the cool but not cold weather!

I have no reservations about saying Canon is the one of the finest camera and lens maker anywhere. I have used Canon cameras and lenses for nearly 11 years now and I would not trade them for anything.

My buddy Rich sent me a link this morning that was so cool I had to post it here. It is a virtual tour of the Canon lens plant. It takes you through the entire process from the raw materials used to make the glass to the final hand assembly of a Canon EF 500mm f4 IS USM telephoto lens. Very cool and well worth the time to watch it. Thanks for the link Rich!
