Me and Pierre30Nov06
Jon and I went downtown Chicago on Saturday morning for some photography and bonding. We had a blast walking around Millennium Park and then the river area. Must have put on a good 3 miles walking around. Towards the end of our adventures I called my Dad to see where the closest Garrett’s popcorn was. Garretts is legendary when you grow up with my dad in your family. They have great popcorn and my dad brags on it every chance he gets. Long story short, Dad happened to be around the block and picked us up in the big bus he drives and dropped us in front of the nearest Garrett’s.
Jon and I went inside and we soon approached by Pierre, a homeless guy who was hungry. I agreed to get him some popcorn. So we get up to the counter and he starts ordering for himself and thinks he is going to get a big bag of popcorn and a big bag of cashews. All in total his order would have come to over $13 (give or take) so I corrected him saying he was only going to have the popcorn or the cashews. He chose the cashews :) Anyway it was a pretty hilarious encounter and Jon managed to catch a shot of my looking back at him mouthing “can you believe this guy?” Here are a few photos from that morning and the last one is me and Pierre in line at Garretts.
