Erin and I bought a string trimmer today from Lowes. After some research on Consumer Reports online, we decided to get the Troy-Bilt TB70SS. It has multiple “optional” attachments like a blower, hedge trimmer, and edger.
The thing about trimming is that it always looked so fun when I was a kid watching my Grandpa trim around the bushes and house. As a matter of fact I did think it was fun when I was a kid and got to do it for a few minutes. But now that it is my responsibility as a homeowner, it just isn’t as much fun anymore. I mowed the yard trimmed around the whole thing.
On a related note, I still have not completely mowed the front hill in our yard. I thought the timmer would make it possible but I still cant reach the whole thing. As I was struggling away at it the nice elderly lady from across the road came over and asked me if I wanted to know how to cut the hill? I said sure. She told me almost amused with herself and her secret knowledge, “You need to tie a rope on the mower and lower it down…” I had suspected this was the way I needed to do it but had not tried it yet. Guess I am going to need to buy a rope at Lowes next time I am there :)
