6Aug08Josh and Jessica – August 2, 2008
It may seem strange but I really love being involved in the behind the scenes of weddings. Being with the bride as she is getting ready… seeing the groom wait nervously behind the doors before he walks in with the pastor… seeing the brides father look proudly at his daughter just before they walk down the aisle. I dont usually get emotional but I really do love it!
Saturday was no exception. I drove up to Knoxville on Saturday to be with Jessica and Josh celebrating their big day. There was plenty of emotion and fun. We started at the Salon Visage in downtown Knoxville in Market Square. Really cool salon with plenty of light and room to move around. Then it was off to Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church for getting ready and the ceremony. HUGE church! I thought I was lost once but just before I admitted it I figured out where I was :) The reception was at the Orangery Restaurant, which is a really cool place. Check it out in the slideshow.
Thanks again Jessica and Josh for having me along! I wish you all the best.

Matt,
This is Jessie’s sister, Lisa. Just viewed the slideshow and had to tell you that I sat there watching it with tears running down my cheeks. I can’t tell you how greatly I appreciate you capturing the sweet spirit that surrounded this wedding, the love that was so evident between Jessie and Josh and our two families, and the fun that we all had. I am in complete awe of the way that you make even the most simple image interesting, compelling, and engaging. You are truly a gifted artist. And you were right, I was worrying too much. You made all of us, even me, look amazing!! I have never seen such flattering photos, even without hair and makeup on! I felt like I was looking at the rich and famous, but it was just us! You have given our families a very special gift that we can remember for the rest of our lives. I am deeply grateful and wish you tremendous success in all that you do. Blessings, Lisa :-)
